Riko Yoshida grew up in Narita city, Chiba, which is famous for having the biggest international airport in Japan. Her hometown is a really small city and full of natural beauty. She always spent her time with her friends in the forest and felt fresh winds from the rice fields every day.

Her undergraduate education at Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan was the first step into the design world. Students could pick the assignments they tried in class, and she mainly chose architecture projects and some Landscape projects. She had a range of passions from fine art to architecture spaces and visited architecture and exhibitions at least three times in a month in Japan. She joined extramural activities like Tokyo designers Week, Yokohama Illumination Project, and some art projects. She also wanted to get experience in real situations, so she worked a part-time job at a big architecture firm in Tokyo as a modeler.

Studying Interior Design at Academy of Art University has given her the opportunity to design modern interior spaces with her unique style. She realized that what she can design is not only modern but also applies design elements from her background in Japan. She tries to design minimal sophisticated interior spaces with select materials
